For Indiana born Kara Ford, music has been a lifelong passion. Introduced to the infectious R&B classics of the 90s through her father’s CD collection, she spent her teenage years glued to MTV, soaking in back to back music videos and learning to play her favorite songs on guitar and piano. It was only natural that she would end up in the music industry in some capacity, though she did not yet know that DJing would become her calling.

Now based in Los Angeles, Kara has spent the past 14 years behind the decks, curating soundtracks for everything from high end corporate events to weddings, private parties, brand activations, and nightlife venues. Her ability to blend genres seamlessly, moving between deep house, disco, funk, R&B, Top 40, and nostalgic 90s and 2000s throwbacks, has made her a go to DJ for diverse crowds and major brands.

Kara regularly works with companies including Google, Disney, Netflix, Zillow, Microsoft, Amazon, and Porsche. She DJs large scale events with crowds of up to 20,000 attendees and has even had the experience of DJing the Super Bowl. She has also performed at major corporate conferences in Las Vegas and held residencies at bars and lounges across Los Angeles..

With every event, Kara brings a thoughtful and intentional approach to music. She focuses on reading the room, shaping the energy, and creating a vibe that feels authentic to the moment. Whether performing for a packed dance floor or setting the tone for a relaxed lounge environment, her goal is always the same: to create an experience that feels effortless, exciting, and memorable.
