For Kara music has been a burning passion since early childhood. She spent her teenage years glued to the screen watching back-to-back music videos in the early days of MTV, and covering her favorite tunes on guitar and piano - it was a no-brainer that she would wind up working in the music industry in some capacity. After graduating college with a degree in Business from Krannert School of Management at Purdue University.
Kara moved to Los Angeles with dreams of pursuing a career in artist management, but serendipitously she wound up trying her hand at DJing about 1 year after the transplanting to west coast city. Kara has a natural flair for the craft and has seen her client list span the likes of HBO, Disney, Nike, Zillow, Microsoft and Amazon.
Now, DJ Kara is not looking back! Your find Kara DJ’ing often at a wide range of events—including weddings, corporate events, private parties — while also staying She continues to focus on refining her skills, growing her agency, working with great talented people, and fully enjoying the journey.
