All About Dinner Playlists!

As you probably know by now, I DJ a lot of weddings lol.  And during these weddings, I work hard to pack the dance floor with all of the hits I know my couples and their crowd want to hear!!  My goal as wedding Dj is to obviously get people dancing!!!! ......... But what do I play when its not yet time for dancing? 

What do I play?? 

For me, the dinner playlists I curate are almost just as important as the music I play for dancing. While it is background music, it is music that guests and couple will hear, recognize, and think about whether they like or not.   Having a great dinner playlist adds to the night and helps to set up a positive atmosphere which will ultimately compliments the music played for dancing!!

To set up my dinner playlists,  I work closely with couples to find the "right" music to play that they enjoy, that they feel their guest will like, and music that will enhance the mood of the night! Within this post, I wanted to share with you a few of my most well received dinner playlists!

Song of the Day - Gotta Push On

My song of the day is "Gotta Push On" by Griz.  Listen below it is a big sounding catchy, and very cool, sexy song.  The entire Griz album "Good Will Prevail", is amazing, but this one is exception! Take a listen, and please let me know which song other song the drop reminds you of?? I can't quite catch it, but the drop definitely is inspired by a classic throwback! Listen!!

Event Recap (Think LA's RVLRY - December 1st 2016)

Early this month I had the honor of Djing the THINK LA Organization's RVLRY "A Night to Remember/Toys for Tots event.  This Holiday Party was at the stunning Unici Casa, in Culver City! And the night was nothing less than incredible, and is one of my favorite gigs to date. The crowd of around 800 were full of energy and vibing off of the music I love to play which included Beyonce, MIchael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Chainsmokers, and of-course the classic Mariah Carey "All I Want for Christmas is You".   In the beginning I was able to enjoy a live band that was amazing, and right before I started my set, I got to lead my first Mannequin challenge.  Pretty cool to see in person.  This event was a blast!!   Below are a few pictures/video from the event, I hope you enjoy!

Song of Day - Testarossa Music

I have been a huge fan of Zhu ever since he came out with "Faded" .. Im telling you, a huge fan. His voice is unique and his beats are sexy, melodic, and really easy to listen to.  I only wish I could make music like Zhu, he is truly one of a kind with his insane amount of style.  I have recently come across his song "Testrarossa Music" featuring Gallant (who is another talented artist and someone to really keep an eye on) ...  "Testarossa Music" is electronic, full sounding, and has rhythmic vibe I adore.  This song I would play during dinner for a sexy wedding, at a lounge, or a high end corporate event.    Listen below and let me know what you think!
