Josh and Christine's Wedding at Old Canyon Ranch

On August 26th, 2017 I DJed Josh and Christine's wedding at Old Canyon Ranch in Agoura Hills! It was one of my favorite weddings to date! Josh and Christine were very much into house music so throughout the night they directed me stick with mostly EDM/"Festival Music". Some super cool sounding stuff!  I had never DJed a wedding like this, where I was able to get so deep into this genre (sent over a ton of amazing songs via spotify) -- so while it was a blast getting to mix "Festival Music" during a dance set for over 200 guests, being the DJ for this wedding it was also great musical learning experience for me!  

In this post, I wanted to share a bit of the music I played!

Like I mentioned earlier, this wedding was one of my all-time favorites!! Josh and Christine had such great taste in music, and while they did give me a ton of direction on music to play for the night, it was some of the coolest music I still rock out to in the car!!!

Bachelorette Party! - August Favs

Hello!! 

So as you can see, I DJ tons of weddings! And with weddings comes Bachelor and Bachelorette Party's, right?!  So I decided this month's Playlist will be packed full of songs that could be used for Bachelorette weekend! Yay! Or It can be used  for any girls night in general.  This was hands down my favorite playlist to make! There's 4 hours of music, including a few current hits, & TONs of the best throw backs! Im all about Throwbacks, if you haven't noticed :) But there definitely are some great current Jams!!

Kara's July Favs - HOUSE MUSIC

Hi Everyone! 

So, if you know me, you know that I speak quite a bit on how much I LOVE house music. Actually my dream gig would probably be to play a 6 hour House ONLY set at a dope international club/festival! That would be AMAZING!!  lol Anyway, when I explain the type of house music I like, I have noticed that I can't really explain it all too well.  I know I like deep house, but when it gets more into the sub genres like Future House, and Tech House ...  I really actually have no idea what I like.  I know thats terrible for a DJ, but I do think so many genres merge, and its hard to classify them.  

 So, I thought it would be fun to make my July Fav Playlist full of some of my favorite house tracks!  Now you can have an better idea of what I mean when I say I love House music! And have a better idea of my taste! Check out my July Fav playlist below :)

Kara's May Favs

Lately I have been coming across some pretty amazing artists! So I am very very excited to share my May playlist!!  

There is this funky soulful and sometimes hous-ish sound (kinda like kaytranada, but also not lol) that is becoming more and more popular, and I have been digging deep to find more and more!!  I don't really know how to explain this sound, but I have curated a Soundcloud playlist full of yet again, my favorite music This playlist is similar to my previous playlists, but this time, most of the songs are funky remixes.  I hope you enjoy!
